Marte Olsbu Røiseland’s husband’s Sverre Roeiseland is the national level biathlete of Norway. Sverre coached the Norwegian women’s national recruiting team.
In August 2018, she married biathlon coach Sverre Roeiseland (NOR), with whom she had been dating since they met at a ski gym in Sirdal.
The couple decided to merge their surnames and became known as Olsbu Roeiseland. In June 2021, the couple completed the construction of a cabin in Sirdal, near the new biathlon facility.
