At the age of 16, Daniel Petric killed his mother, Susan Petric, and severely injured his father as well.
Petric attacked his parents by saying he had a surprise for them. However, the surprise turned out to be devastating.
There was no death penalty given to Daniel because of his young age at the incident.
However, in January 2009, he was found guilty of murder and attempted murder with several pieces of evidence.
Daniel was sentenced to life in prison with a possibility of parole after 23 years.
He is currently incarcerated at the Grafton Correctional Institution in Lorain County, Ohio, and is eligible for parole in 2030.
