The Breaux Bridge Police Department revealed the mugshot of Kent Desormeaux where the jockey is smirking.
Kent has a history of alcohol abuse and legal issues. Tony Matos, Desormeaux’s agent, claimed he could not contact the jockey, who had two other mounts at Gulfstream on Saturday.
The Daily Racing Form claimed that Desormeaux failed Breathalyzer tests on race day in 2010 and 2012. He pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in 2011 after hitting a security guard with his automobile at Saratoga Race Course in New York.
The jockey put himself into a rehabilitation clinic a week after winning the Preakness on Exaggerator in 2016.
