Maricel Laxa is a Filipino actress who was born in the Philippines. She earned Best Supporting Actress prizes at the FAMAS Awards and Star Awards for her part in the 1992 film Iisa Pa Lamang.
She attended St Theresa’s College in Quezon City, De La Salle Santiago Zobel School in Muntinlupa, and Assumption Antipolo for his early schools.
Later, Maricel enrolled at Assumption College in Makati for secondary school. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from the University of the Philippines Manila.
She completed her Master of Science in Family Life and Child Development from the University of the Philippines Diliman. Maricel got married to Anthony Pangilinan in 2001.
