Mark Anthony was arrested in a sting operation conducted by dozens of law enforcement agencies from Lexington, South Carolina. In the undercover operation, they were searching for people who target minors for their sexual satisfaction.
Agencies and Police officers posed girls under 18 and were in a daily conversation with the supposed criminal. Officers had phone conversations, and the suspects even asked to meet the girl, even after knowing they were underage.
Suspects were caught by predetermining the meeting location staged by detectives.
As reported by wtoc, sexually explicit language and images were used while conversing with the minor. Lexington County Sherrif Jay Koon revealed that the suspects tried to do every possible way in the books to persuade an underage girl to engage in sexual activity.
Officer Koon further added the successful sting operation was a combined effort of law enforcement at federal, state, and local levels. He added Attorney General Alan Wilson made it possible to have a constant team available for the operation and was committed to the local law enforcement.
