Shatta Wale was born in Accra, Ghana on October 17, 1985. Charles Nii Armah Mensah Sr. and Elsie Evelyn Avemegah are his parents. His father was a businessman as well as a politician. His parents divorced when he was young, and he was raised by his father.
He attended Winneba Secondary School before transferring to Seven Great Princes Academy. Shatta’s father always wanted him to be a lawyer, so he moved to the streets to pursue his music career. He later moved to Jamaica to further his career.
