Sam Ehlinger is Ross and Jen Ehlinger’s oldest child. In August of this year, Sam wrote a letter to his father explaining why he is better suited to play quarterback at Texas.

Sadly, his father died in 2013 while swimming in San Francisco at the age of 46. After Ross’ death, Sam’s mother, Jena Ehlinger, became his rock and backed him up through every step.

San’s mother, Jen, detailed the story in an eight-minute video that he shared on Twitter. She stated that their family did two things: attend Texas football games and attend church.

Jena Ehlinegr, Sam’s mother, is a big fan of his work. She was at every game to support and cheer him on. Morgan Ehlinger is Sam Ehlinger’s younger sister. She is currently a high-school student at Westlake High School and is in her middle teen years. Her sister never missed one of his games.
