In 2008, Pharrell and Helen met at a banquet, but at that time Helen was in a serious long-term relationship, and believed that she was to marry the man she was dating. However, the two split by the end of 2010, and Pharrell then started asking her out on a date nearly every day. Helen eventually gave in and kept him company during many of the events he attended, during one of which the two were noticed holding hands. While being a guest of Oprah Winfrey, Helen stated that she behaved rather uncommon around Pharrell, because she wanted to find out what exactly it was that he wanted of her.
In July 2013 the two became engaged – it wasn’t them who announced it, but was rather people who noticed Helen’s diamond ring while she was attending the premiere of the movie “The Dark Knight Rises” on 16 July 2013. They married on 12 October that year at The Kampong National Tropics Botanical Garden, attended by their wide circle of friends and family members, including the famous singers Jay Z, Justin Timberlake and Gwen Stefani.
Helen and Pharrell have a son together, and triplets born in January 2017.
Helen hasn’t talked about any other men she might have dated in the past, while it is known that Pharrell was in a relationship with five other women: he dated American singer-songwriter Kelis in 2001, the jewelry designer Jade Jagger in 2003, singer Alesha Dixon in 2004, Czech model Karolina Kurkova from 2004 to 2006, and American music video director Vashtie Kola.
