Nolan Arenado, the talented player of the St. Louis Cardinals, was on the paternity list so he could be around his wife as she gave birth to their first kid.
As his wife was prepared to give birth, the player left Chicago early Thursday and canceled the Cubs match.
Reportedly, a player who is put on the Paternity List is required to miss the club’s following match. He must miss no more than one game before being eligible to play again.
Arenado and his high school sweetheart-turned-wife Kwan are now parents of a baby girl. They welcomed their daughter to this world on 25 August 2022.
