The family of Mike Busey is a resident of New Orleans, Louisiana. He migrated to Texas in 1982 and then to Florida in 1988.

Busey is the son of David Busey and Jan Busey. His father, David, was a musician who died in 2018. 

Likewise, Mike is Gary Busey’s nephew, although some fans mistake Mike for Gary’s son.  

His uncle, Gary, is a renowned American actor who has received some awards and honors in his film industry career.
