Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, appears to have found a Chinese lookalike.
A man from Suzhou, whose real name is unknown, became an overnight phenomenon in the eastern Chinese province of Jiangsu due to his remarkable likeness to the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla.
Their likeness has already caused so much controversy that the viral story has reached the 50-year-old billionaire himself.
The similarities between the man and Musk were quickly noted by commentators, and the observation quickly circulated across Facebook and Twitter.
According to News.com.au, Musk couldn’t resist the similarities, and joked, “Maybe I’m partially Chinese!” in a tweet made on December 20.
The occurrence spurred internet users to label the doppelgänger with amusing names. Elon Mosaic was one nickname, and Clone Musk was another. According to Yahoo! News, one netizen even gave the man Yi Long Musk’s Chinese name.
