Mary Carmack-Altwies is married to her wife Jo, who is a retired law enforcement officer.
The couple lives in Santa Fe with their two energetic young children.
Mary has also served as the President of her local PTA, she even has taught at UNM Law School, volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Carmack has also served as a legal advocate for survivors of sexual assault.
