Marcus Skeen, who was in his second year at Lithonia, was placed on paid administrative leave from his job as a special education paraprofessional until the completion of the inquiry, according to a district official. According to Donald Porter, the school district’s press secretary, the suspension is part of district policy owing to the severity of the accusations.
Porter stated in an email Tuesday that “district staff continues to fully cooperate with law enforcement in the ongoing, joint investigation by the DCSD Department of Public Safety and the DeKalb County Police Department.”
