In 2020, Linda Hunt’s role as Hetty on NCIS: Los Angeles was reduced due to the COVID pandemic, with the character reportedly working out of Syria.
The absence of Hetty left many fans wondering about her whereabouts and return to the show.
However, the showrunner, R. Scott Gemmill, confirmed that plans are in place for Hetty to return during the 14th season of the show.
Gemmill expressed Hetty’s importance to the agency, particularly in Callen’s past, and how her presence is needed for Callen’s upcoming wedding to Anna.
The plan is to rescue Hetty from Syria and uncover what she’s gotten herself into.
Gemmill further explained that they are still figuring out when to make this happen, but their goal is to make it happen during the current season.
Fans eagerly await Hetty’s return to the show and the unfolding of her storyline.
