Laessig and Wolfe were both students at Berklee College of Music and came to Ditmas Park, Brooklyn in 2007 to pursue musical careers. The two relocated to an ancient Victorian estate that included a 60-year-old recording studio and vintage pianos.
They were hired, musicians. Later, they formed their own band with two new bandmates, producer Dan Molad and guitarist Peter Lalish.
