Amanda is a former model who grew up in the California town of San Luis Obispo. In 2006, she met Balke Leibel. Amanda had been dating Andrew Altchek, a hedge fund manager who died in jail in 2010 after being convicted of running a Ponzi scheme, before meeting Blake.
According to her friend, she was drawn to the quiet, introverted, geeky Balke since he was the polar opposite of her last disastrous partner.
Amanda is known for being a sociable party girl. Despite their vast differences, they enjoyed a happy relationship for a few years before marrying in 2011. Amanda was already expecting their first child at the time.
Later, Blake’s behavior became increasingly unpredictable and obsessive over the following four years until, seemingly out of nowhere. He got up and left Amanda, who was eight months pregnant with their second child at the time, in the summer of 2015.
When she found out that Blake was seeing Iana and had proposed to her within a few months, she was upset.
