Field is married to Scott Bakula, a famous actor and director who belongs to Czech ancestry and is best known for his starring roles in two science fiction television series: Sam Beckett on Quantum Leap and Captain Jonathan Archer on Star Trek: Enterprise. He was first married to Krista Neumann in 1981 and had two children, but they divorced in 1995, four years before he married Field.
Field dated the four Emmy nominees for more than 15 years before settling down for good in 2009. The wedding was fairly simple and secretive, with few friends and family present.
The couple live with their two young children. They share two boys, Wil Botfield and Owen Barrett. Their two sons are in their twenties.
