Taylor Fritz was born to his parents in Beverly Hills, California, the USA on October 28, 1997.

Fritz grew up in Rancho Santa Fe, a suburb of San Diego, with his brothers. As a freshman, he won the CIF singles title in the San Diego area at Torrey Pines High School.

Guy Fritz and Kathy May had three sons, Fritz being the youngest. Chris and Kyle, Fritz’s maternal half-brothers, are his older maternal half-brothers.

He went to an online high school a few months into his second year to focus on ITF junior competitions full-time.
