There is no doubt that Yara got her passion for acting from her actress-mommy. Her mother, Keri, is a brief-time actor and producer turned businesswoman.
Keri’s IMDb suggests that she appeared in an episode of “In The Neighborhood” as Alexis in one episode. She then gave her voice to Michelle Obama in a 2010 episode of “American Dad.”
Meanwhile, she debuted as a producer with 2018 TV series titled “Shatterbox,” followed by “Hair Love” in 2019 and “Second Team” in 2020.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Mrs. Shahidi, took on the position as an executive producer and co-principal of 7th Sun Productions.
She and Yara are business partners and look after the company that creates, produces, and broadcasts “scripted” and “alternative” shows, Teen Vogue writes.
While her real name is Keri Salter-Shahidi, she is also globally known as ChocolateMommyLuv.
