In 2006, one of her brothers, Jimi Henley, ran as a Democrat for Texas’s 7th congressional district’s election.
He lost to incumbent Representative John Culberson but ]got elected to the Harris County Department of Education Position 7.
Her other brother, Bill Henley, served a term in Arkansas State Senate, where Susan made a speech at the announcement of his candidacy.
