Denis Potvin has been active lately, neither in his social media accounts nor in public. So, it is hard to track down his activities. But the death of his brother Jean might have made him keep some distance from the public.
Denis might be actively seen in public after he finishes mourning for the loss of his brother. He was last seen active on his Instagram in 2021. He played hockey from a young age and has a great career in junior hockey with the Ottawa 67s.
He was drafted by the New York Islanders in first overall in the 1973 NHL Amateur Draft. There were great expectations from Denis as he entered Islanders, and, he proved to be a savior for them.
Denis won the Calder Memorial Trophy as rookie of the year in 1973- 1974 and won James Norris Memorial Trophy as the league’s Top Defenseman. His performance was hampered by the series of injuries which he has experienced due to which he retired in the 1987-1988 season.
