Recently, Anne Allred left her role as co-anchor of the station’s 10 p.m. program to concentrate on her reporting. She has not disclosed anything regarding her salary yet.
Allred is still affiliated with KSDK and continues to co-anchor at 6 p.m. with Mike Bush, despite her departure from the 10 p.m. schedule.
Jackson, originally from Quincy, Illinois, graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale with a degree in radio and television broadcasting and a minor in political science.
She has received multiple honors for her journalism. These include St. Louis Business Journal honors, a National Alliance for Women in Media award, and Mid-America Emmy Awards.
She received recognition for fair reporting from the Urban League earlier this year. “We are thrilled to give Kelly more responsibility in our newsroom,” said Alicia Elsner, president and general manager.
She and Mike have a steadfast dedication to helping St. Louis. At ten o’clock at night, I can’t wait to watch how their personalities and news backgrounds come through!
Jackson will remain co-host the weekday 5 p.m. newscast with Jim Castillo, the meteorologist, Cusumano, and Bush. On November 27, she will start hosting the newscasts at 10 p.m.
