Abby Eden, who has been a mainstay at FOX4 for over a decade, is leaving. The newscaster announced on Wednesday, January 11, that her time at the station is ending.
She has yet to elaborate on her plans, which she will discuss on Wednesday morning’s newscasts.
Abby says, “We have so many amazing viewers, and truly you are why I am here and that I have been here for 12 years at FOX4.” She added that it had been a lifelong dream for her.
She thanked everyone, including her viewers and coworkers, for making it possible.
Abby’s final shows on Signal Hill will take place on Thursday, January 19, marking the end of a run that started in Kansas City in November 2010.
Abby has worked in almost every reporting capacity, from writing, editing, and shooting original stories, to reporting primetime newscasts and anchoring morning shows.
Her reporting on hundreds of stories has earned her a regional Edward R. Murrow Award and two Emmys.
Additionally, she has given her time to countless community events, for which she was honored as “Role Model of the Year” in 2016.
