The apostle of the Restoring Isaachers Generation (RIG), Tomi Arayomi, and his wife, prophet Tahmar Arayomi, are alleged to have been held upon their arrival at the Abuja airport. According to Persecondnews, Emmanuel was seized with the other two. The crew arrived at 10:20 a.m. for a trip to the Federal Capital Territory that was scheduled to commence at 5:00 p.m. (April 7). Although the cause for their incarceration was not immediately obvious, sources said they were pulled away and their phones were taken when they arrived.
Although the cause for their imprisonment is unclear, many believe it has nothing to do with a prophecy he made years before the 2023 general election, which many believe would have upset the governing All Progressives Congress, or APC. The DSS has yet to issue a statement confirming or denying the arrest or specifying the reason for the arrest. Tobi Arayomi, his twin brother, reported this at midday on his Instagram feed @tobiarayomi. Tobi alleges that Department of State Services officials arrested him because of supposedly political projections made by his brother.
He announced their release on Instagram after around 40 minutes, with a photo of his brother and his wife. Pastor Tomi was set to attend a program on April 7 at his church’s Abuja location, according to information gathered from his official Facebook page.
