They have been together since the late 2000s after they met on a group trip to Martha’s Vineyard. Although John was a known entity with rising fame, his wife-to-be was an unknown makeup artist and business owner.
Annamarie was born on June 9, 1985, in Connecticut and raised in Jewish background. Raised in New York, she moved to Los Angeles after high school and studied hairstyling at Vidal Sassoon during her gap year. Although she started college after it ended, she dropped out shortly and began working as a makeup artist.
During this period, she started a Tumblr blog, The Daily Face, which brought her immense popularity and success. She wrote two books, Pin It!: 20 Fabulous Bobby Pin Hairstyles and Daily Face: 25 Makeup Looks for Day, Night, and Everything In Between!

Aside from hairstyling and makeup artistry, she is also a business owner. She owns Silk Parlor, an online shop that sells lampshades and textile crafts. Annamarie Tendler started the business after an unsuccessful attempt at purchasing a Victorian lampshade. After studying the industry and the art, she began making and selling handcrafted Victorian-style lampshades to great success.
Annamarie Once Accused Ben Affleck of Groping Her
The comedian’s wife rarely makes the news outside of their wholesome marriage and business ventures. However, in 2017, she caused a bit of a stir when she claimed that the famed actor, Ben Affleck, had groped her in a series of tweets.
Annamarie posted the tweets following Ben’s public apology to Hilarie Burton for inappropriate behaviour when she hosted MTV’s TRL in 2003 in the heat of the MeToo movement. But despite calling the actor out and admitting his past errors, Affleck has never publicly denied nor confirm Annamarie’s allegations.
John Mulaney and Annamarie Have Been Married Since 2014
When they met at Martha’s Vineyard, Annamarie knew the two of them would become a couple. John, however, was oblivious to fate’s plans and needed a push. Eventually, they began dating shortly afterwards. In 2010, Annamarie proclaimed that the two would get married four years before it actually happened.
In 2014, her prediction came to pass after more than five years as a couple. They married in a New York 1920s woodland-deco themed ceremony at Boiceville. The wedding was officiated by Dan Levy, a longtime friend of the comedian. Since they said I Do, the couple has enjoyed a blissful union.
They are yet to have children. However, they do have a French bulldog, Petunia, whom they consider as their daughter. The dog is a popular member of the John Mulaney family, with over 169,000 followers on her Instagram page.
