Shane Ward is the son of Charles Mead Ward and Kathi Knight. His parents were married in 1985, and sadly, his mother passed away in 1996.
Following her death, his father established the Kathi Ward Foundation in her honor, aimed at supporting the professional practice of caregivers in the Olean region.
Charles Mead Ward, Shane’s father, had previously been married to Donna Ward, and they had three daughters: Barbara (Dan) Siciliano, Kathleen “Katie” Ward, and Tiffany (Terry) Brairton.
Charles Ward was a distinguished individual with an impressive background.
He worked as an editorial consultant for Thomson Newspapers in Boston and Pittsburgh, travelling up and down the East Coast.
He returned to Allegany in 1993, serving as the editor of the Olean Times Herald until his retirement in 1997.
Tragically, Charles Mead Ward passed away on November 22, 2021, at the age of 84, marking the end of an illustrious career and a life dedicated to journalism and community service.
As for Shane’s career, as of 2023, he worked as a Technical Operations Engineer at Anduril Industries, starting in November 2021. Before that, he was a General Account Manager at Alpha Dawn LLC.
