In the early days of Tina Fey’s career as a comedian, she performed with the improvisational comedy troupe, The Second City. There, she met Jeff Richmond, a composer and music/TV director who joined the troupe as a musical director. They remained together through Fey’s career journey, from SNL to 30 Rock.
Seven years into their relationship, on June 3, 2001, they got married in a Greek Orthodox Ceremony. They have remained married ever since, becoming one of Hollywood’s most powerful couples. Beyond being each other’s enduring partner, they also share two children.
They gave birth to their first child, Alice Zenobia Richmond, in September 2005. Their second, another daughter, Penelope Athena Richmond, was born in August 2011.
It might be too early to say where the pendulum will swing regarding their children’s choice of career. However, Alice once famously played Tina’s younger self in an episode of 30 Rock.
Since April 2009, four years after the birth of their first child, they have lived in Upper West Side in New York City. They live in an apartment in the affluent area they bought for $3.4 million.
