Sammy and Kim Kershaw’s marriage marks the musical artist’s first marriage in his lifetime. The couple had exchanged vows in 1985.

The former couple had been together for seventeen years before Kim filed for divorce, shocking everyone with the downfall of their seemingly good married relationship.

She got the last name Kershaw after marrying Sammy. Kim was recognized as Kimberly Dawn Moore before getting hitched to Sammy.

Sammy and Kim were 43 and 39 years respectively when they divorced after fourteen years of marital togetherness. It was Kim who filed for divorce in Davidson County courts. She cited the reason as irreconcilable differences.

Correspondingly, she also got a restraining order against Kershaw to prevent the musician from selling or transferring property or making any changes in insurance.

The former couple welcomed two children; daughters Erin and Emily Kershaw, during their togetherness. It seems they have a sound relationship even after the divorce for they attended Emily’s graduation in 2012. 

Kimberly also has another son, Ryan, from her previous relationship. Sammy had a quality relationship with him regardless of not being a biological father.
