When Rebecca McBrain met Paul Walker, she was in the middle of her career as a school teacher while Paul was at the beginning of what would be a successful career through his role as Brian O’Conner in the Fast and Furious series. They began their relationship in 1998 while both in their early 20s.
While they were together, the couple had an unexpected pregnancy that prompted Rebecca McBrain to ask Paul Walker to marry, which the actor declined citing his unreadiness for marriage.
The refusal to get married resulted in their unfortunate break up and Rebecca relocated to Hawaii from California, after giving birth to their daughter, Meadow Rain Walker on the 4th of November, 1998.
Rebecca McBrain raised her daughter alone with the help of her mother, Julie Ann Soteros, up until the age of 13 in 2011 when Meadow Rain Walker sought to have a relationship with her father and relocated to California.
Unfortunately, Meadow did not get to spend plenty of time with her father as he passed away in 2013 after a car accident. At the passing of Paul Walker, Meadow Walker was left to his mother, Cheryl Walker as the sole guardian of Meadow which prompted a custody battle with Rebecca McBrain. Cheryl accused Rebecca of being unfit to be a mother because of her alcoholism and two DUI arrests but eventually found a compromise by enforcing that Rebecca undergoes rehabilitation and relocate back to California.
With the completion of the terms of the agreement, Rebecca McBrain and Cheryl are now both joint custodians of Meadow and the former girlfriend of the action star lives with her daughter in her home in Los Angeles.
