The judge decided that Rachelle should be moved to Juneau for a fair trial after her arrest.

In Rachelle’s trial, both Brian and Jason testified. Brian claimed that Jason had asked him to assassinate Lauri and that Rachelle had frequently complained to him about her mother’s mistreatment.

According to Jason, Rachelle told Jason she wanted her mother dead, and the two of them discussed various murder plots.
