Eric Bischoff began his career in wrestling in 1987, working for Verne Gagne’s American Wrestling Association (AWA) in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
He began his career in the AWA’s syndicated programming sales department before becoming an on-air talent almost by accident and at the last minute.
Bischoff debuted as a C-show announcer for World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in 1991 at The Great American Bash.
Bischoff has long been a fan of the Vermont-based jam band Phish, and he has a collection of live recordings from their shows.
