Paak’s mother, whose name is not known, was born in South Korea during the war between North and South Korea, which started on 25 June 1950. The daughter of an American soldier, she was raised at first by her mother’s parents but was later taken to an orphanage from where she was eventually adopted by an American family who lived in LA.
Anderson Paak has been married twice. He met and got married to his first wife at his family church where he was a drummer. They stayed married for a few years before parting ways. Anderson later started teaching at a music school and there, he met his future second wife, a student from South Korea named Jaylyn. Together they have a son, called Soul Rasheed.
