Patti Ann LuPone was born on 21 April 1949 in Northport, New York, the United States to her father, Orlando Joseph LuPone, who was a school administrator, and her mother Angela Louise LuPone, a librarian.
She went to Huntington, Long Island, and grew up with an older brother named Robert LuPone.
Lupone completed her graduation from the first-ever batch of the Juilliard’s Drama Division in 1972.
