He started his musical career with his original name by fusing “Electronic Music” with “Rhythm & Blues.” He received the promotion from several popular music promotion websites from 2007 to 2010. He got his stage name “PartyNextDoor” from FL Studio. He connected to ‘OVO Sound’ which is owned by Drake and released his song “Make a Mill.” In June 2013 “PARTYNEXTDOOR” was released to iTunes store as his first mixtape.
In 2014, “PartyNextDoor Two” was released at iTunes store which featured songs such as “Muse,” “Sex on the Beach” and “Recognize” which was charted by the Billboard. Later, in the same year, he released the Extended Play naming PND Colors. In 2015 he did world tours in North America and Europe, and produced songs of Drake’s album “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late.”
The year 2016 was shining for him as his songs as a songwriter earned the top spot on Billboard Hot 100 for nine consecutive weeks, the songs namely “Work” and “Sex with Me” for Rihanna’s album “Anti.” He also released “Come and See Me,” which featured Drake, from his album “PartyNextDoor 3”. The songs featured celebrities such as Big Sean, Kylie Jenner, and Jhene Aiko. His single “Like That” featured Lil Wayne and Jeremiah.
In 2017, he released “Colors 2” album and an EP “Seven Days” which included appearances of Rick Ross and Halsey.
