Spencer Webb passed away at the age of 22 on July 13, 2022. Webb was a Christian Brothers tight end sensation, a Sacramento Bee All-Metro and All-Decade talent who rose above a damaged home, raised by an older brother.
Webb appeared in 20 games for the Ducks over three seasons, catching 31 receptions for 296 yards and four touchdowns. He was projected to be a key component of the Oregon attack in 2022, his fourth season with the Ducks.
Unfortunately, Webb died on Wednesday afternoon after collapsing following a cliff-diving mishap near Triangle Lake in Lane County, less than a mile from the institution.
Netizens are mourning his loss and are heartbroken by the unexpected accident and how abruptly our life may end.
May his soul rest in peace in heaven.
We express our heartfelt condolences to his friends and family.
