Jeremy Bash is an American Lawyer and the first husband of Dana Ruth Bash, a CNN journalist, news anchor, Inside Politics host, and co-anchor of State of the Union.
The former couple got married in 1998. The pair later divorced in 2007.
Jeremy B. Bash served as President Barack Obama’s chief of staff at the Central Intelligence Agency (2009-2011) and the Department of Defence (2011-2013).
Jeremy Bash worked on a number of key initiatives as a senior advisor to Leon Panetta in both roles, including the development of a new defence strategy, the formation of two defence budgets, counterterrorism operations, a new cyber strategy, and a variety of sensitive intelligence operations.
Jeremy Bash is a managing director at Beacon Global Strategies LLC, which he co-founded in 2013 with partners Philippe Reines and Andrew Shapiro.
Jeremy Bash also works as a national security analyst for NBC News and its cable division, MSNBC.
