Micah has been married to husband Kelvin Jackson for almost 23 years now has two children with him. Even after being together for so many years, the pair still seems to be madly and deeply in love with each other.

It’s actually been over two decades since Lauren first met WGN videographer Kelvin Jackson and instantly fell in love with him at the very first place.

Following the instantaneous connection and romance, the two proceeded for a private nuptial in 1995 and over the year gave birth to two lovely children, Louise and Jeanne.

Today it’s been more than 23 years for their marriage and parent of two children, but still, the couple makes it look as if they have just started dating with their intimacy and understanding for each other.

A native of Chicago, Illinois, Micah was born to businessman Louis Francis Materre and Jeanne Materre. Her father was a businessman who owned and operated a pain store named The Materre Bros. Paint & Wallpaper Co. in Park Manor, a neighborhood in Chicago.

An alumna of Drake University, she also attended North-Western University in Evanston, Illinois from where earned a degree in journalism.

Today, Micah serves as a member of the Directors for the Chicago Children’s Choir and Tutoring Chicago’s Advisory Board.
