The couple originally met at the Rossmoor Athletic Club in Seal Beach, California, in 1995, while Joe was a bench coach for the Los Angeles Angels and Jaye worked in an accounting department.
When they met each other, both Joe and Jaye were married. Joe was married to Bette Stanton, while Jaye was married to another guy whose identity is unknown.
Their friendship soon grew into romance soon after their marriages with their respective partners ended.
Joe Maddon is the father of two children from his previous marriage with Bette Stanton, and he also has five grandkids. Jaye, too, has two children from her former marriage. Jaye’s eldest son from her first marriage, Ryan Sousoures, was born in 1987.
Dylan Sousoures, her youngest child, was born in 1994, and in 2012, he graduated from high school.
