Professional tennis athlete Ash Barty was born in 1996, making her 25 years old and five feet five inches tall.
Growing up in Queensland, she had roots in sports as her father represented the country in golf during his prime. Even her mother was a professional golfer who took the job of a radiographer after retirement.
As a child, she played sports like Netball but switched to Tennis as the other seemed too girly. By the age of four, she was a student of Jim Joyce and competed with boys who were way older than her.
At 17, she got so busy that she was home not more than 27 days a year.
