Peewee Herman, portrayed by Paul Reubens, isn’t arrested presently; however, the notable American comedian was previously arrested in July 1991 while visiting relatives in Sarasota, Florida.

He was arrested for pleasuring himself publicly in an adult theater. During that time, detectives would occasionally visit pornographic theaters to observe the audience and arrest the ones engaged in what they considered indecent exposure.

Ten years after imprisonment for indecent exposure, no one was still cracking jokes about his humorous persona. Reubens allegedly face a charge of possessing child pornography.

The actor’s legal representative discovered that a recording that had been incorrectly added to the evidence against Paul was taken in another case. Later, the allegations of child pornography against him were dropped.

Nonetheless, instead, Reubens pleaded guilty to a charge of obscenity. The infamous mug shot didn’t show Paul’s clean-cut look for the last decade, which shocked the netizens.

The show was canceled due to multiple complaints of overworked crew members in 1990. Due to this, the feel of the Pee-Wee character ran its course, ultimately leading to Reubens deciding against the sixth season.
