Several of the fans of Erling Haaland thought him to be Muslim by religion even though he had a Christian upbringing. He didn’t grow up a Muslim, his parents are all Christian.
Meanwhile, his Twitter and social media handle flooded with messages and comments after he tweeted Alhamdulilah, which means Praise to God. Many welcomed him as a part of the Muslim community.
Another move the 21-year-old player made that left people believing him a follower of Islam was after he bowed, kneeled, and placed his foreheads on the ground doing Namaz during one of his games.
