Lori was born with the name Lori Beth Graham in Phoenix, Arizona. She came from a quite religious family and would regularly go to church. Lori, too, was a child of the ‘Nazarene’ church. Lori’s life took a drastic turn as she turned away from God. When she was a teenager, she had already started abusing drugs and her entire teenage life was revolved around by partying drugs, and sex.
At 17, she started a relationship with a certain man whom she also ended up marrying. But the relationship was not quite about love and care but it was a rather abusive relationship. Lori was repeatedly beaten and brutally abused. She was physically abused by her would-be husband the day before her wedding.
Furthermore, Lori had terminated 5 pregnancies in her marriage with her abusive husband, and by the age of 22, she had total hysterectomy. By 1985, Lori ended the 10-year marriage that had caused her immense trauma. To seek peace, she joined the ‘Phoenix First Assembly of God,’ where she experienced spiritual and personal growth.
