Lewis Hamilton, a British race car driver, is a half-brother to Nicolas. Nicolas is seven years younger than Lewis. Nicolas suffered from cerebral palsy.
But we can see it hadn’t stopped him from coming towards a racing career. He drives in a specially adapted car.
It’s been stated that Nicolas was raised around a racetrack, but he never in his life had thought to race competitively.
The disability he suffered is a disorder that is found in one in every 400 kids in the UK and is said to be the common disability in childhood around the world.
It has affected his legs and balance throughout. That’s the reason during the driving time he uses conventional foot pedals.
Other than that, Nicolas is counted as the first disabled driver who has scored points in the Championship.
A British Touring Car is said to be the racing series created in the year 1958. Huge credit goes to a specially designed modified car that gave the opportunity Nicolas to compete.
