Raised up in Greenburg, she graduated from Hempfield High School in 2005. Since her childhood, she used to watch the news channel and was a huge fan of WTAE as a little girl. As she was already sure to build her career in broadcasting, she started anchoring morning announcement in high school, Hempfield 15601.

Later, she enrolled at Point Park University located in downtown Pittsburgh and earned her bachelor degree in Broadcast Journalism. At the same time, she also completed her internship at WTAE and WESH-TV.

During her college vacations, she worked at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando where she played well-known fairy-tale princesses from story-books in shows and parades.
