Jenny grew up in northern Chicago area which is heavily populated with polish people. Her father was born and raised in Poland (well if “growing up” means being 7 and fleeing one’s country) and her mother came to Chicago in 1970s after competing nurse training.
She and her sister Diana had lot of trouble speaking English at first due to their polish heritage, eventually they caught up on that and made a fine living for themselves. You know… it’s America- so anybody can make it.
