Janet Snyder Buffalo
Snyder’s career in radio began after she graduated from Ithaca College in 1987 and joined Kiss as the midday host and assistant promotion director. Within a year’s time, she moved to New York City and joined the on-air staff at the most listened-to radio station in America, WHTZ-Z100, where she was a midday host for almost four years.
Janet returned home to Buffalo in 1992 and has been on the air at Kiss ever since. She has been named Buffalo’s Best DJ twice by Buffalo Beat newspaper and her show has been voted the Best Morning Show for five consecutive years in a Buffalo News poll.
Janet has used her celebrity to help raise thousands of dollars for charity, giving generously of her time and talent to help others. She has worked with more than fifteen organizations and has spearheaded some of the biggest charity events ever broadcast on local radio, including the “World’s Largest Toy Drive”, which provides new toys for children during the holidays; the “Kiss Cares for Kids” Radiothon benefiting the Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, and the Labor of Love Relief Effort to benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
