Kacie McDonnell and her husband revealed they were expecting their first child in April 2022.

In an Instagram video paired with the Lee Brice song “Boy,” the couple announced their engagement.

Hosmer sits on a bed, watching television when Kaci enters the room and hands him a handful of pregnancy tests. He gives them a startled look before hugging Kaci, holding a baby onesie that says, “It’s time for you to be a dad.”

The couple’s sonogram when they found out the baby’s gender and the sound of his heartbeat are shown in the announcement video.

In the previous few months, the pair has had a lot to be thankful for. On New Year’s Eve, Hosmer married longtime girlfriend and former Kansas City reporter Kacie McDonnell.
