Born in Londonderry, New Hemisphere, United States, in 1972, Stephanie Gosk blows the birthday candles every 17th April. She attended Vermont’s Middlebury College but later moved to Georgetown University where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in economics. The reason for the move from Middlebury to Georgetown was that she wanted to have a different experience, she said. Shortly after graduating, she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Dominican Republic.
She began her media career with ABC News as a desk assistant and off-air producer. Stephanie Gosk also served as a producer in Boston, Massachusetts for the news company. In the wake of the 2000 presidential elections, Gosk, then serving the New York office, contributed to and also filed major breaking news. She served as producer and correspondent in Boston and London respectively. The media personality quickly rose through the ladder from shooting to reporting and then production. This characterized her role on Good Morning America and on World News Tonight in the middle-east, Iraq precisely.
Stephanie Gosk joined NBC News in September 2006 as a correspondent for the Investigations Unit. In her new role, Gosk covered high-interest events like the killing of Al-qaeda leader, Osama Bin Laden in 2011. Asides that, she also covered security risks during the 2012 London Summer Olympics, heated matters like the gay rights protests held in Sochi against the Russian government in 2014; the Flint water crisis of 2014, widespread protests in Chicago, the Orlando gay nightclub shooting in 2016, and several others. She continues to contribute across several NBC News platforms including Today, NBC Nightly News, and MSNBC.
