Adrian Groulx is notable for his recurring role as Young Dwayne Johnson in the television sitcom Young Rock.
When millions worldwide often wondered what it looks like to be The Rock, Adrian got the fortunate opportunity to embody the man himself. The child actor portrays the youngest Rock at the age of ten.
The series is based on the life of Dwayne Johnson (The Rock), a professional wrestler and actor, and premiered on NBC on February 16, 2021. It has generally received positive reviews from critics. The third season of the series premieres on November 4, 2022.
Despite portraying him, it took a long time for Adrian to interact with the actor. During an interview with Nick Hausman, Wrestling Inc.’s Senior News Editor, the child star shared that one of his fellow actor Bradley Constant had to give him a little nudge.
In season one, Adrian didn’t have a Zoom chat with The Rock. However, at the end of the season, the actor sent him a heartfelt video, after which the child star broke down in tears immediately.
Adrian didn’t formally interact with Johson until the production of Season 3. The actor shared that he could never gather the confidence to send him a DM, but this season, after finally meeting him after all the years, he couldn’t hold his excitement.
Groulx said, “I’ve always heard he was so nice, and being there and meeting him in person, and just talking to me, he was so nice and humble as everybody said.” “It was everything I could ask for,” he continued.
