John Madden and his wife, Virginia Field, have two sons, Joseph and Michael. On December 26, 1959, the duo got married and lived in Pleasanton, California.

His sons were following in his father’s footsteps as Joseph played football at Brown University. At the same time, Michael attended Harvard University and later joined a football team as a receiver. 

Both of Madden’s sons might have been married. However, the details regarding Madden’s daughter-in-law haven’t been known at the time of writing.
